The Agency for Health Care Administration administers a program for licensure of
health care risk managers. Contact Risk Manager Licensing Program Staff [428KB, PDF] for questions regarding the program.
Public information regarding licensed risk managers can be found by using the Licensed Risk Manager Search.
Effective July 1, 2018, the Agency will discontinue the licensure program for health care risk managers. Each licensed hospital & ASC must continue to have a functioning risk management program and hire a qualified risk manager to oversee the program. The hospital & ASC’s governing board will be responsible for hiring a risk manager based on the education and experience requirements in subsection 395.0197(2), Florida Statutes (2018).
Online Applications – In addition to submitting license renewal applications online, licensees may also submit changes during the licensure period. Changes to your name, address, and employment can be submitted by going to the online portal and creating a new application. Contact the licensure unit for additional information.
Note: A renewal application will not be accepted if your health care risk manager license is expired. An initial license application, including qualifying information, must be filed if your license has expired.
